Rhee TaeKwonDo classes Tor young and old are now running at Rutherford every Wednesday and Friday evening.
Sa Bum Nim (teacher) Qendon Clibbon invites people to come along to a class and find out what Rhee Tae Kwon Do is all about.
"it would be great to get more people involved, especially at the Rutherford classes," he said.
Clibbon said it was a good way to learn skills and be trained both physically and mentally.
"Our code at Rhee Tae Kwon Do is sound body, sound mind." Clibbon. who is a second degree black belt, and fellow instructors have years of martial arts experience and provide a safe and fun learning environment for students.
Rhee TaeKwonDo is a traditional non-contact martial art that promotes respect, discipline, health, fitness, flexibility and perseverance.
It is suitable for men, women, and children of all ages from five years old.
One of the greatest advantages of Rhee Tae Kwon Do as a martial art is that it not only teaches self-defence, but it also enhances every aspect of mental and physical wellbeing.
The practice of Rhee Tae Kwon Do imparts to each member, self-control, self-discipline, high moral standards, improved psychological outlook and overall strength of character.
Grand Master Chong Chul Rhee, an 8th Dan Black Belt, is considered to be the father of Tae Kwon Do in Australia and made Rhee Taekwondo the most popular and accepted martial art in Australia and New Zealand.
Clibbon runs Rliee Tae Kwon Do classes at St Paul ’s Hall, Rutherford on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6pm to 715pm and at the Pat Hughes Community Centre in Thornton on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 7.15 pm.
Classes are also held at East Maitland, Largs, East Gresford, Clarancetown, Paterson, Cessnock and Branxton as well as locations in Newcastle and Port Stephens.
